How to Book a Veterinary Diagnostic Test in Pune
Getting your animal tested with PVD India is designed to be effortless — there is no need to transport a sick or stressed animal to a laboratory, and no pickup charge within Pune city limits. Whether you are a pet owner in the city, a dairy farmer on the outskirts, or a veterinary clinic managing dozens of cases a week, our doorstep model brings professional, pathologist-verified diagnostics directly to your location. This page explains exactly how the process works, which areas we cover, and what to expect from the moment you contact us to the moment your report arrives.
You can reach PVD three ways: call 9082245254, send a WhatsApp message with your animal and test details, or fill in the contact form above. Our coordination team confirms a collection time, dispatches a trained technician, and keeps you updated at every stage. Reports are delivered digitally via WhatsApp and email, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
The 5-step doorstep collection process
PVD has refined a simple, repeatable process so that every collection — whether for a single pet or an entire herd — is handled with the same care and traceability.
- Book: Call, WhatsApp, or use the form. Tell us the animal, species, and the tests you need (or describe the symptoms and we will advise).
- Confirm: We confirm a convenient collection slot, usually within 24 hours, and share the technician details.
- Collect: A trained technician arrives at your farm, clinic, or home, draws the sample using sterile VETBLOOD systems, and labels it with full chain-of-custody.
- Process: Samples are transported under cold-chain to our partner labs — Chaitanya Laboratory and Verity Vet Laboratories — for processing by certified scientists.
- Report: A pathologist-reviewed digital report reaches you via WhatsApp and email, with free follow-up to explain the findings.
Free doorstep collection areas in Pune city
Within the Pune metropolitan area, sample collection is completely free of charge. Our field technicians serve homes, farms and clinics within the Pune city collection area. If your locality is not listed below, call us — our coverage area is growing, and we will let you know whether we can arrange a pickup in your locality.
- Central & East Pune: Hadapsar, Manjari, Viman Nagar
- West Pune: Kothrud, Bavdhan
- South Pune: Kondhwa
Courier-based collection beyond Pune
For farmers and clinics outside the Pune metro, PVD operates a courier-based sample pickup model so that distance is less of a barrier to quality diagnostics. Nominal courier charges may apply, and our team guides you on correct sample handling and packaging to preserve integrity in transit. Through courier-based pickup we serve agricultural belts including Baramati, Indapur, Junnar, Lonavala and Talegaon, and we also serve clients in Delhi, Gujarat, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Guwahati via courier.
What to prepare before the technician arrives
A little preparation makes collection faster and less stressful for your animal. Keep the animal calm and accessible, have any previous medical history or prior reports handy, and ensure someone familiar with the animal is present to assist with restraint. For livestock and herd bookings, list the animal IDs or ear-tag numbers in advance so each sample is matched to the right animal. For pets, avoid feeding immediately before certain tests if advised — our team will tell you if fasting is required for the specific panel you have booked.
Hours, payments and response times
PVD operates Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with emergency collections arranged outside regular hours for critical cases. We accept UPI, bank transfer and cash, payable at the time of collection or on receiving results. Enquiries are answered within four hours on working days, and WhatsApp messages are typically responded to within one to two hours — because when an animal is unwell, fast answers matter.
Why farmers and pet owners choose doorstep collection
The traditional model of veterinary testing asks the impossible of many animal owners: transport a 500-kilogram cow, a contagious calf, or a frightened cat across town to a laboratory, then return days later for results. For livestock especially, this is often simply not feasible — and the stress of transport can itself worsen a sick animal’s condition. PVD’s doorstep model removes that barrier entirely. A trained technician comes to you, draws the sample on-site, and the animal never has to leave the comfort of its familiar environment.
This convenience is not just about comfort — it directly improves health outcomes. When testing is easy and affordable, owners test earlier and more often, catching disease before it becomes severe or spreads. That is the practical meaning of PVD’s guiding principle, “Test Early, Treat Right,” and it is why farmers, pet owners and clinics across Pune and Maharashtra have made doorstep diagnostics part of their routine animal care.
